Massive flooding and even mudslides have closed the campground for Memorial Day weekend 2017 :(

FYI,

I talked to Misha as I had a 15 mile trip planned...so this is fact. Bummer!

Unfortunately, we stayed down at site 20, if you have a family, stay as close to the entrance as possible. The partying and music past site 20 was blasting until 2:30 in the morning. There is suppose to be quiet time at 11 pm but it was not enforced at all. We left a day early just to avoid the partying and music. The bathrooms were always busy, hard to use the shower when there is always a line. I would go just to do the canoe trip, minus the customer service of the drop off vans. The river was out of this world, couldn't have asked for a better canoe float itself. We booked it at the front office and I asked specifically if four people would fit in the canoe, two small kids, two adults, without hesitation the person on the phone says yes. So, Saturday we get in the van and ride to the drop off spot. The driver drove like a crazy person and the people that helped you in the water were flat out rude. The guy loading the canoes says "How many people?" I said "us four" and the guy says "y'all aren't going to float(with a bad attitude)". Then says "jump in let's see", and pushes us to the river. We floated no problem but how terrible was that service....take this review for what it's worth, hopefully it helps other families make a decision, one way or the other.

Such potential :(. We have two kids, a three year old and an eight year old. They loved the river and the playground. I thought the campsite and river were perfect. I caught a small mouth bass, right at our site first night, I thought this is going to be the best trip ever!!!! Everyone we met were so nice and friendly! Then we tried to go to sleep....

We did the 5 mile kayak trip and had a great time. The ride from the landing point up river was enjoyable and safe, unlike some others I have been on! The gentleman unloaded our kayaks and helped us off on our trip downstream, telling us some key places to stop along the way. The trip down river was relaxing and beautiful, with so much to see. Bring sunscreen if you plan on going in the hot summer sun. Price was acceptable and the five mile trip took us about 4 hours to complete. Would highly recommend this place!

The campground itself has a great location. Beautiful sites on the river. Showers are hot but the shower house could've been cleaner. Don't stay in the cabins. Ours had mouse poop and stunk of mouse urine. Had one run between my legs. This was 2 days ago now my wife and I are both sick. We'll tent camp next time

Great place to camp and canoe .Owner very involved in complete safety with fun as the reason for the season. A laid back atmosphere for the whole family.
